Hi, I’m Berenice, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a Holistic Nutritionist and a Biotechnology Engineer. I know, it sounds like an unusual combination, and you might be wondering how I went from engineering to nutrition… well, it’s a long story.
At Ola Holista, my mission is to help you feel your best everyday.
I’ve struggled with gut and skin issues since I was a child, but it wasn’t until I turned 24 that my symptoms escalated. I visited many health experts and received multiple diagnoses, including gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome, eczema, dermatitis, insulin resistance, and PCOS.
I was frustrated by the lack of real solutions, and for many reasons, taking medication to mask my symptoms didn’t feel right to me. So, I started doing my own research. After various functional medicine courses, webinars, and books, I became passionate about health from a holistic perspective.
This is where my background in biotechnology played a key role. My knowledge of genetics, cellular biology, and biochemistry allowed me to understand the root cause of my symptoms beyond conventional diagnoses. It helped me connect the body’s internal processes with nutrition and lifestyle, giving me a comprehensive perspective on healing from the root.
This passion led me to become certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA), where I gained the knowledge and tools to support the body’s natural ability to heal.
Later, I continued my education in gut health with Restorative Wellness Solutions (RWS), earning my certification in the Art of Healing the Digestive System.
Today, through my practice, I combine science and functional nutrition to guide you on your journey to optimal health with an approach that honors your body’s innate wisdom.
